New Holiday Photos Posted/Updates

I've finally gotten around to posting the photos from the last month or so. They can be found in the photo gallery to the left. The three new ones are: Birthday 2004, January Holiday Photos, and Vancouver.

I hope that the photos make you smile like you're in Bollywood.

The Vancouver photos are mostly taken at my aunt and uncle's home, or at Whistler-Blackcomb mountains. What a fun trip! I hope to return soon, hopefully for good. If anyone has any ideas of a legal way for me to immigrate there, let me know. I'll be posting a contest soon with a reward for the idea or lead that makes this happen, so stay tuned!

Congratuations to AP and Rachel on their recent engagement!!

School has started again, so I'm scrambling to buy overpriced books. When asked where I could get rid of a book that the UWM bookstore was no longer buying back, the hawker grinned and said " why don't you try the trash can." I flipped him off and walked away.

I've been asked to MC Tyan and Jay's wedding in August. If anyone has any great ideas on this, let me know.

Birthday/Vancouver

This year's birthday has been very festive...lots of good eats and good peeps. Saturday I left for Vancouver for some snowboarding and catching up with relatives. Also, I intended to do some research for a hopeful migration in year or so.

My flight from Milwaukee to Chicago was cancelled, and the later flight that I was put on was delayed. This left me with fifteen minutes to make the connecting flight in O'Hare. Running down the concourse, I barely made the flight. Then we sat on the ground for 45 minutes while (I thought my) luggage was being loaded on the plane. We arrived in Vancouver nearly on time.

An hour later I found out that I had no luggage, which if you know my history at all, you know that it's a pattern. That left us without the possibility of snowboarding for today, so we settled on some amazing dimsum and visiting. The luggage arrived later in the afternoon, so we're planning riding Cypress on Tuesday and Blackcomb on Wednesday. Life could be worse.

Props to Snoop Dark for taking care of the Integrasled in my absence and for the last minute delivery of Oakey's Creamfields '99 which is now in a spot of honor on ye olde iPod. I'll post photos when I arrive back in the States.

Happy New Year / New Photos

Well, as expected, December yielded a lot of parties and general carousing. It was nice to have Chyi and Jonas in town from Europe, and props to Chyi for trying out snowboarding. Happy Birthday to Kacz and Happy New Year to you all! I'm free until the 17th, when I leave for Vancouver for a week of visiting relatives, snowboarding, and eating amazing Chinese food.
