this morning i left winnipeg for regina. i found out that it's pronounced "reh-jy-na." any ideas for team names? i ended up driving a little further (hauling ASS actually) and am now in moose jaw. saskatchewan looks like eastern montana and north dakota. go figure.
on the way there, there was an incredible amount of precipitation. as i mentioned earlier, the casino in regina doesn't have NL cash games. so i said screw it and decided to go to temple gardens mineral spa instead.
from their site: The mineral rich water is drawn from the porous rock formation of ancient seabeds more than 1350 meters (4500 ft.) below the earth's crust.
strangely enough, the spa is right across the street from the moose jaw casino. i'm not even going to go over there as they have no poker. i don't even feel the slightest bit compelled to go over there and donkey-off money on house games.
after a soak, i went for a massage, which was kickass. the wireless is down so i am in the business center, which is a shade annoying, but well, it's better than nothing.
tomorrow i leave for calgary. the casino has poker, but i duno about NL. i guess i'll have to call. now i have to drum up some food.
oh, i had a near repeat catastrophe with my bike rack as i went into the parking structure. some of you may remember i drove into my garage with the integrasled. the jetta handled it better though, as i was going slowly and it was just a pipe. no damage at all, although the feet came out of one of my clamps. i put them back in and tightened it all down.
well, gotta run. lets hope all the tornados that i keep seeing on the moose jaw news don't hit the spa.
Sounds like the journey is going well!
